Documentary Premiere 7 P.M. At The Beverly Theater And On KCLV-TV Channel 2
The Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial has sponsored a series of historical documentaries on the city of Las Vegas, and will premiere the latest ― “City of Las Vegas The 1950s” ― at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at The Beverly Theater downtown at 515 S. Sixth St.
Due to limited capacity at the venue, the premiere is open to invited guests and the news media. The film also will air for the public to view at 7 p.m. May 13 on KCLV Channel 2 on Cox Cable, at www.kclv.tv/live, on the city’s Twitter and Facebook pages, and on the Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV platforms.
“City Of Las Vegas The 1950s” is the fifth in an ongoing series of documentaries chronicling the history of Las Vegas. Produced by Boyd Productions, LLC, the project is funded by the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial, which receives its revenue from the sale of the centennial license plate through the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles.
KCLV-TV 2 will broadcast a Las Vegas documentary marathon featuring the first four historical documentaries, May 12 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., May 13 from 2 to 7 p.m. and May 14 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (including the 1950s new film). The new show will replay on KCLV-TV 2 May 15 at 10 p.m., May 16 at 8 a.m., May 18 at 2:30 p.m., May 19 at 8:30 a.m. and May 20 at 2 p.m. Additional replay times will be available at KCLV.tv.
