Free Online Registration Is Open Now For Two Locations
The city of Las Vegas Strong Start Go Mobile Pre-K Academy offers children ages 3-5 and families a high-quality, early-education program closer to their neighborhood at NO COST to the families. This program provides free half-day, pre-kindergarten classes, along with family engagement workshops and activities.
Daily and weekly scheduled activities help children advance skills in literacy, mathematics, social/emotional development, physical fitness, and science. The child-centered approach uses sensory play to ensure children experience learning activities that help them thrive in all areas of child development. The program is facilitated on the city of Las Vegas Strong Start GO Mobile Pre-K Academy school buses.
Current locations include:
- Mojave Road and Stewart Avenue – (Chuck Minker Sports Complex at 275 N. Mojave Road) Both morning and afternoon programs are offered.
- Washington Avenue at D Street – (330 W. Washington Ave. at Historic Westside School) Both morning and afternoon programs are offered.
Morning sessions 8:30-11 a.m. Monday-Thursday are offered at the mobile school bus classrooms at both locations. Afternoon sessions 1-3:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday also are offered at both of the mobile school bus classrooms. More locations will be added soon. The Strong Start Go Pre-K academies were launched by the city to advocate for and bring awareness to the importance of early-childhood education from birth to age 8, which supports school readiness and grade-level reading.
